#fc_org interview with Birgitta Jonsdottir
Update 2nd of October (Google news about Open Gov Camp last Friday): #fc_org RT @anked:68 articles about #opengov camp in Berlin :-) most about inspiring speech of @birgittaj http://t.co/IpLHYkGS #ogc11 @gov20
Since three year we are supporting the Open Gov Camp in Berlin. Open Government is from our point of view one of the fundamental preconditions for coping with global future challenges in a successful manner. You cannot deal with global questions when only the actors rely only on an old type of political decision making process. We have to seek for more internet based processes of political participation. It would be a really efficient way of getting political decisions when also taking into account ideas and proposals formulated by the people.
Therefore we asked Birgitta Jonsdottir (who was invited as the keynote speaker this year) the following questions:
Why can crisis be an opportunity for society and politics?
What would you say to a german politician when using the internet for political purposes?
What do you think about the shift of power in the relationship between big institutions and the voters?
In which way can internet help us in coping with global future challenges?
Please take a look at Birgitta´s answers and enjoy this innovative insight into politics.
Thanks to @birgittaj for giving us the opportunity to make this interview.
