“Globalization and the Internet” Kick-Off Workshop in Berlin
Last month Future Challenges and the Internet and Society Collaboratory organized a kick-off workshop for the “Globalization and the Internet: Information, People, Goods” project in Berlin.
Some 30 experts with various professional backgrounds came to a former supermarket in Berlin to form different working groups. Four working groups will discuss topics at the intersection of globalization and Internet-related issues. Here you get more detailed information about this project.
We have started a blog carnival on Future Challenges which asks for contributions on the question: “Does the Internet create a new supranational, borderless culture?”. We will use the best posts for a book sprint that will take place at the project’s second workshop on 27-28th August at the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance in Berlin. If you would like to publish a post about this topic please let us know via @FutureChall_org on Twitter, Future Challenges on Facebook or via a comment on this page.
