Bertelsmann Transformation Index 2012 provides valuable information for understanding global political and economic changes, but still has to be complemented with other information in order to understand citizen’s mood around Latin America, a region which is experimenting deep changes. In the case of Chile, which shows a very high BTI index, the party in government and the main opposition party get low approval rates. Some other paradoxes have emerged recently in the region.
